Course # 4 - Grilled Venison Salad

Course # 6 - Braised Beaver
Course # 5 - Duck Wontons

Even with a snowstorm roiling as
the guests arrived there was
a full house in attendance.

  After everyone had eaten
the door prize raffle began

Several great gifts were passed
out including the (in)famous
Cheese Balls, a trail camera
and "IPA Beaver Beer"

Then everyone went home
filled and content and only one
vehicle had to be pushed out of
the wet slushy snow outside.

Course # 7 - Pheasant in Lemon infusion over wild rice

Tri-Lake Ice Fishing Tournament ~ Sunday, February 8, 2015

The Moodus Sportsmen’s Club Tri-Lake Ice Fishing Derby is on!!!!

Registration is from 4pm to 6pm at the club on Saturday ~ at the MSC Clubhouse

Boat launches have been plowed but space is still limited – please car pool.

CAUTION!!!!!!!!!!:
  • Please keep your eye on any area that has flowing water – the end of streams, the outflow of the causeway, near docks with bubbler units.
  • Snow insulates the ice allowing it to melt underneath.
  • Check the ice depth frequently as you proceed on the water body.
  •  The ice is solid but watch closely and step cautiously when first stepping on to the ice from the land.
The Moodus Sportsman’s Club does not represent that the ice is safe in all places on these lakes.  All participants are responsible for their own personal safety.  Pay attention to the channel in the Moodus Reservoir and the springs in Bashan Lake.  With the lowering of the water level, certain areas may not be safe.
