Children's Fishing Derby : Sunday May 4 starts at 8 am

The Moodus Sportsmen's Club will hold our annual Children's Fishing Derby on Sunday May 4th. It's open to the public and there is no entry or admission fee for this event.

Junior fishing is not just about ensuring future anglers or fishing license revenues, although that's part of it.

But it is also based firmly on the premise that creating connections between kids and nature ensures a healthy future for them both.

With this in mind, the MSC is once again proud to host this annual event.

The derby begins at 8 a.m. and will run until noon. Hot dogs and other tasty items will be served for lunch.

Bring your youngsters - under age 12, and their fishing gear, and they can get some practice fishing in our stocked pond.

All children must be under adult supervision. It will be a great time for all.
